One Pot Pasta

A no-fuss, hearty dinner all made in one pot.

Ingredientes

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or turkey

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 jar of marinara sauce

  • 12 ounces of pasta

  • Optional toppings: grated cheese

Preparación

  1. Heat a large pot over medium to high heat. Add beef and cook, breaking the meat into pieces with a wooden spoon. Do this until the meat is cooked through* and brown (about 6 minutes), and add salt. 

  2. Reduce the heat to medium and add marinara sauce to the pot. Add 3 cups of water to the pot and stir. Add the pasta to the pot, then stir again.

  3. Bring the pasta and the sauce to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently so the pasta doesn’t stick to the bottom. Add 1 cup of water and continue stirring for about 15 more minutes.

  4. Add cheese (optional) and enjoy!
